Our Kimbo Coffee products
The success of true espresso begins with the selection of the ingredients. Kimbo Coffee visits the plantations in the growing countries personally to purchase the best coffee bean varieties and refine them according to the Neapolitan tradition. Caffè Kimbo is one of the largest roasting houses in Italy and is still an insider tip in Germany. A large variety of blends offers the entire bandwidth of Southern Italian coffee artistry. The passion for coffee roasting began with the Rubino family half a century ago. In Italy, this espresso has been a classic and as well known as illy for more than 50 years. In the shadow of Vesuvius, the Rubino family has passed on its experience and passion for roasting the true traditional Neapolitan espresso from generation to generation. The innovative ideas and the excellent quality have brought Kimbo coffee to the 2nd place in the Italian market.
KIMBO COFFEE - NEAPOLITAN ESPRESSO - FROM BEANS TO PODS AND CAPSULES
Coffee Kimbo: the Neapolitan coffee International
Kimbo Caffè, previously known as Café do Brasil, was born from a small workshop and a great vision: to export the meticulous obsession for traditional Neapolitan coffee and introduce it to the world. With this passion and this goal, soon the small family-run business began to turn into a great reality of Made in Italy.
Passion, tradition and the ability to think big have transformed this small corner of Naples into an internationally renowned company in just over 50 years.
Coffee in the shade of Vesuvius
Kimbo was born from the Rubio family's vision, which, like other big roasters, started small. From the '60s until today, for over 50 years, the company has managed to grow rapidly and compete against the giants of the domestic market, so much so that it has earned second place in consumer preferences.
The Rubino family's ambition comes from the unique love nurtured by the Neapolitans for the Arabic drink: no one knows better than them how to turn coffee beans into black gold.
Kimbo has its own philosophy and prefers Arabica beans in its blends, which make for a more delicate and softer coffee, combined with precious varieties of Robusta. The beans are selected in the countries of origin and, after careful controls, are sent to the factory for samples, where experts and tasters verify their properties and taste.
A quality-conscious supply chain
Kimbo is certified as one of the companies that maintain high standards of control throughout the supply chain. All the way from selecting the best varieties of coffee beans, which is done locally by specialists sent to the plantations, to approving the final product after professional tasters give the green light to the batch.
The manufacturing process follows the dictates of traditional roasting, without renouncing modernity. Kimbo thinks big.
The roasting process also supports small farmers, producers and the environment: Kimbo Integrity is the production line that chooses coffee varieties produced on Rainforest Alliance-certified plantations that respect the local nature and heritage of the land.
Looking to the Future
There is a considerable variety of products manufactured so far by the roasting company. Today it is possible to buy packages of whole beans, ground coffee, pods and capsules.
ESE Pods are available in various blends in the 44 mm format (the most used). They can be easily recycled because they are compostable, in line with the respect for the environment.
The capsules are compatible with the Nespresso system. Thanks to their versatility they are the perfect solution for every situation, bar, office and home. The idea is to always have the same type of coffee in the cup, from the first to the last capsule, with consistent body, aromas and textures.
A sweet choice
Kimbo has a preference for using Arabica varieties, the most delicate quality and less rich in caffeine. This makes the coffee smooth and pleasant and never too strong and aggressive in flavour.
The blends, however, are not unwelcoming to a handful of Robustas. After all, the South American bean is the master in the range of products of the house.
Despite this choice, the roasting company plays with the different varieties, to experiment and create new flavours and aromas, ranging from the intense and traditional blends to the creamy and fragrant decaffeinated.
The range of ground beans is certainly the strong point of the company as far as the home line is concerned, but in recent times even the most modern solutions such as capsules have been able to satisfy the palate of even the most demanding customers.
Kimbo is always the right choice for those who are looking for a relaxing flavour experience in a cup of coffee, without giving up stimulating spicy notes. All of this is the result of Kimbo's careful work, ability to mix different bean varieties to perfection, and traditional slow roasting process.
